Comments: Imaged Saturn November 17th targeting a CM transit of the 2010 GWS AV. The session covers 2 hrs 5 min’s of Saturn rotation. This session commenced just after Sunset and the initial seeing was quite extraordinary, the best I have ever had for November and equal to my best all time IR data. I stacked 90% of the frames for the first 9 min (6 x 90s) 685nm IR run. The seeing dropped off over the session with the final IR run rated at 6/10. The AV is very well resolved with the best of the IR and R data resolving a procession of bright spots across the NTrZ. The best of the IR and R data also resolves a prominent compact dark spot in the STrZ, I have captured this features previously several times. Detail resolved in these data. AV at approx Lat+42.1 L3 77.8 resolved in IR data. A bright spot at approx Lat+29.8 L3 52.5 resolved in IR, R and RGB data. A bright spot at approx Lat+29.7 L3 62.2 resolved in IR and R data. A bright spot at approx Lat+29.7 L3 73.1 resolved in IR and R data. A bright spot at approx Lat+29.6 L3 81.3 resolved in IR and R data. A bright spot at approx Lat+29.6 L3 99.1 resolved in IR and R data. A bright EZ spot at approx Lat+10.4 L1 170.2 resolved in IR data. A bright spot at approx Lat-29.8 L3 127.8 resolved in IR data. A bright spot at approx Lat-29.8 L3 139.9 resolved in IR data. A compact dark spot at approx Lat-31.1 l3 66 resolved in IR data. A large bright spot at approx Lat-44.4 L3 45 resolved in IR data. Long lived red spot at approx Lat—55.7 L3 122.5 resolved in IR data.
