Comments: Imaged Saturn July 31st targeting a complete transit of the long lived Lat-55 bright spot. Seeing had considerable variability over the entire session but nevertheless the spot is still resolved. Sadly the data set covering the spot at the CM was the worst of the data but still it is there. I measure the bright spot to be at approx Lat-55.6 L3 104.8. There is considerable activity within the EZ including a v-bright elongated feature centered on approx Lat+1 L1 116.8. The EZ feature is very noticeable in the 685nm IR animation. The animation also nicely demonstrates the differential rotation within Saturn’s atmosphere.
