Comments: Imaged Saturn July 12th in good seeing targeting a transit of the long lived Lat-55 deg bright spot. These data cover 2 hr 59 min of Saturn rotation. The long lived –55 spot is well resolved in IR, is seen as a v-faint light spot in R, appears as a v-faint dark spot in G and B. Have 2 RGB data sets the first has a v-good R, fair G and marginal B while the second RGB has v-good R, G and B data. Resolved detail by latitude; A bright oval at approx Lat+36.5 L3 161.8 (R data) A compact bright spot on the edge of the ring shadow at approx Lat-18.5 L3 231.9 (IR data) A compact bright spot on the edge of the ring shadow at approx Lat-18.3 L3 203.8 (IR data) A compact bright spot on the edge of the ring shadow at approx Lat-18.3 L3 130.2 (IR and R data) A bright spot mid SEB at Lat-31.7 L3 126.7 A diffuse bright spot Lat-51.2 L3 124.5 The long lived bright spot approx Lat-54.8 L3 165.7 (IR data) (v-faint light spot in R v-faint dark spot in G & B data) 685nm IR animation covers 2 hr 59 min of Saturn rotation. R channel animation covers 2 hr 8 min of Saturn rotation. RGB animation covers 1 hr 16 min of Saturn rotation. Agustin, as per your suggestion have included the G and B data from this session.
