Comments: Imaged Jupiter August 14th initially in rather ordinary seeing but which improved significantly toward the end of my Jupiter run especially so for the 2nd 685nm IR and Ch4 data. The depth of resolved detail across the field in the 1st IR, R and RGB images is more a reflection on just how good the processing tools we have at out fingertips have evolved rather than the quality of the data. Of significance in these data is the very large diffuse dark feature toward the F limb in the NEB. Most of this apparition there have been quite condensed dark features along the Southern edge of the NEB seemingly associated with festoons which seem to emanate from them. In these data each of the festoons has a large diffuse dark feature extending the width of the NEB above them but the one toward the F limb is more prominent. There is also a line of three white ovals seen in the SSTB. Europa is in transit.
